April 23, 2010
MISSISSAUGA —Support our community and have a swinging good time while you’re at it! Register today for United Way of Peel Region’s 19th annual Leaders on the Links golf tournament taking place at Lionhead Golf and Country club in Brampton on July 5.
“All proceeds from our Leaders on the Links tournament go directly to our Community Fund, which invests in a vital network of social services for people from all walks of life,” explains United Way CEO Shelley White. “After government, United Way is the largest funder of social services in our community. Last year more than 420,000 people in Peel turned to the services and programs funded by United Way.”
Fees for the tournament are $500 for a single golfer, $2,000 for a foursome and $2,300 for a combination of a foursome and hole sponsorship. Golf cart, locker, guest gift, golf clinic, on-course lunch, and three-course dinner are included in the fee. A silent auction will feature some fabulous items, including two airline tickets to anywhere in North America, donated by RBC Insurance.
