The Sponsored Employee plays a vital role in achieving this mission. Working under the management of a professional United Way Fundraiser, the Sponsored Employee will provide support to approximately 200 United Way of Peel Region workplace campaigns on a full-time basis during the fall fundraising campaign from September 5, 2017 to December 22, 2017. Following a comprehensive training schedule at the start of the tenure, Sponsored Employees work closely with workplace campaign committees to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate fundraising strategies and will enhance relationships with organizations across Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga. As a Sponsored Employee, you are an ambassador representing United Way of Peel Region at meetings and events throughout the campaign season, inspiring donors and potential supporters by increasing awareness of the impact United Way makes through our collective action. Reporting to: Manager, Resource Development Contract: September 5, 2017 to December 22, 2017 (16 weeks) Salary: $500.00 per week (35 hr week)

§ Review past performance and history of assigned accounts
§ Help develop and implement fundraising strategies
§ Recommend targeted campaign ideas and action plan
§ Develop professional business-centred relationships with Employee Campaign Chairs
§ Support workplace volunteers in the planning and execution of employee workplace
campaigns, responding to their specific needs
§ Monitor and support accounts and campaign volunteers throughout the campaign,providing outstanding customer service and to optimize results based on campaign goals and objectives
§ Actively participate in campaign planning meetings to identify opportunities to increase participation, highlight the impact the campaigns make through United Way and support fundraising priorities
§ Provide workplaces with campaign materials and arrange for speakers and tours where appropriate
§ Track campaign progress and identify challenges and solutions with guidance from United Way staff
§ Collect pledges and funds raised from workplaces and submit for processing
§ Ensure workplaces and volunteers receive appropriate recognition
§ Attend campaign activities and deliver presentations to inform and inspire stakeholders to increase giving and engagement
§ Prepare and present champion/ambassador training sessions
§ Deliver training sessions, speeches and presentations to workplace volunteers and employees
§ Thank donors for past and present giving through presentations, telephone calls or letters
§ Regularly update account profiles to ensure accurate and timely information
§ Document industry trends, activity that influences campaign environment and corporate climate
§ Maintain records of account engagement and performance
§ File copies of signed documents, etc.
§ Ensure up to date information is maintained in database
§ Complete progress reports and a detailed final report on all assigned United Way workplace campaigns, including providing recommendations for 2018 campaign year

In addition, all candidates:
- Must have a valid Canadian Driver’s license (G Level), vehicle and insurance
- Must be available to attend early morning, evening or weekend meetings/events as required
- Is asked not to take vacation days during the16-week contract
