A lot can happen in a year. We are proud to share with you the 2016/17 Community Impact Report. This report highlights our work, commitment and impact over the last year in our mission to drive positive social change in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga.
We are working towards creating long-term, sustainable and lasting change in addressing the complex social issues that exist, right here, in our community. We do this by focusing on creating local solutions for local issues.
“When we work together, through the contribution of your time, money and expertise, lives are transformed.”
As a movement, United Way works to create long-term, sustainable and lasting change by bringing together community partners to address complex social issues in communities across Canada. We do this by investing in important programs and services across Peel Region that help kids be all they can be, move people from poverty to possibility and build strong communities. Our agency partners ensure that people can get the help they need, when they need it.
Our job is to ensure your dollars are spent wisely and strategically to achieve desired results. This achievement will support an integrated network of local agencies in the delivery of social service and programs and fund community grants and collaborations that will benefit vulnerable individuals and families living in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga.
United Way of Peel Region was privileged to partner with outstanding individuals and organizations throughout 2016/17. Through sponsorship, giving, volunteering and countless other contributions, the philanthropic spirit of people who live and work in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga proved to be stronger than ever. United Way is honoured to recognize these remarkable leaders in our community.
The data in this report was collected by our United Way agency partners from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. As much as possible we have tried to avoid duplication, however this data does not reflect unique individuals served, as clients may access a program several times and/or more than one program within an agency or between agencies.
